Responsibilities
The ACCP for the Medical/Geriatric psychiatric patient populatin performs basic patient care skills, follows infection control practices, positions, transfers and transports patients, takes vital signs, collects specimens, accurately observes, reports and charts, performs range of motion and assists with feedings, self-care activities and elimination needs.
Additional duties include customer relations, area coordination, patient record maintenance, office/unit operations, automated data maintenance, (verifying, recording, posting and filing informational materials via automated/manual systems).
Floating to other psychiatric units may be required dependent upon staffing need
Qualifications
Current CNA license, required
Current BLS from the ARC or AHA , required
Two years of CNA experience working with Psychiatric patients, preferred
