The territory for this position is in Southern California from Los Angeles to San Diego.The Architectural Design Manager (ADM) will proactively develop and manage a network of architects, designer/architects, general contractors to drive sales growth through the specifying process of our products and selection by the contractor.Through research, solicitation and networking within the architectural and design community, the ADM will actively promote income growth and distribution of product by ensuring our products are specified in the planning process of projects and also ensure that those projects are purchased from us when they are being built.
The ADM will actively develop and manage all accounts and the key influencers within the decision making structure, to ensure that we are the manufacturer of choice specified and then, working with the Territory Sales Manager, ensure our product is actually purchased.The Sales Representative will travel throughout their region as needed to meet with clients and prospects, conduct learning seminars, attending networking events and interact with designers and their customers, as well as industry tradeshows.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEffectively present company product line, technology to various organizational levels and expertise.Identify new product/application opportunities.Gain commitment from key influences and close project sale.Track projects utilizing our CRM system (SalesLogix) from the design process through to ultimate completion, ensuring our products are purchased.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEA Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing or an architectural or design field and 3 years proven success selling commercial goods as an inside or outside sales representative.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESExperience in an influential sales role including all aspect of the sales cycle; prospecting of new clients, networking within industries, selling to specification and multiple steps sales processes.Demonstrated knowledge and success within the specifying process from inception to completion and how to affect the multiple-step sales process to drive revenue.Proven proactive and persistence approach to lead generation and account management throughout the lifecycle of account acquisition, sales processes and over all relationship maintenance.A strong and influential presenter in front of large groups.
Ability to present at all levels of an organization in various communication modes.A strong strategic thinker/planner who is capable of analyzing and continually improving a multi-step and multi-strategy sales model.Demonstrated ability to identify and understand market, client and stakeholder needs in order to develop or better position the company resources to meet those needs.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications as well as familiarity with organizing and managing a CRM.Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.Prospect for new architectural contacts and other key influencers within the sales chain, driving increased revenue.Conduct educational sessions with Architects, and other key influencers.Experience:architectural: 3 years (Required)Education:Bachelor’s (Required)
