Manager, Production & Talent Security

The Production Security & Intelligence Team supports our studio functions globally, including Netflix Productions across all types of content.

This Los Angeles-based role will report to the Manager of Production Security for UCAN.

The role will be instrumental in ensuring a safe  experience for our productions, our talent working on our productions, and our publicity efforts, driving a high standard of resilience and support to talent relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Help keep our productions safe, secure, and resilient
  • Evaluate production plans for security needs and coordinate local support
  • Integrate existing intelligence effort to generate location risk assessments to assess security, medical, and travel concerns for production activity and for talent during publicity events
  • Develop/review risk assessments and security guidelines; design security plans and deliver specialized guidance for higher-risk production activities
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with key production and publicity stakeholders
  • Engage with relevant external stakeholders and drive the regional production/talent security vendor portfolio
  • Provide immediate stabilization and management for talent and production security incidents

Qualifications:

  • 10  years of relevant  experience , which can include security, intelligence, military, journalism, or NGO; with a focus on regional security issues 
  • Advanced  degree , in Security Studies, International Relations, or related major
  • Experience living/working internationally, with strong regional work  experience  
  • Experience with talent, media/entertainment, or production is a plus
  • Must be business fluent in English, additional language fluency highly desirable

Ability to:

  • Interpret regional security signals while assessing and leaning into risk
  • Maintain an awareness of risk trends affecting global entertainment sector
  • Communicate relevant analysis and forecasting to key stakeholders
  • Interact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Travel regionally and internationally as required (approximately 30%)
