Primary job duties:
·Assist in all phases of month-end closing, including: preparation of journal entries, ensuring transactions are in accordance with GAAP, perform analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and communicate exceptions to management.
·Prepare monthly financial package to senior management
·Fixed Asset maintenance.
·Preparation of annual property tax returns
·Assist in preparation of annual budget
·Preparation of monthly sales tax returns
·Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures
· Assist in preparation for annual external audit by providing various year end audit schedules
Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required
·Minimum of five years of related accounting experience
·Demonstrated skills and experience in managing goals through collaboration and teamwork.
Strong problem solving skills, work ethic, organizational skills, and attention to detail, decision making skills, and ability to work independently and well with others
·Solid accounting experience combined with strong communication and analytical skills
·Working knowledge of Excel.
Great Plains experience a plus
· Ability to work well in a fast pace environment and capable of meeting tight deadlines
