Overview
Duffl delivers groceries to college students in 10 minutes.
They use data to wholesale the highest demand products and deliver them from retail storefronts using electric scooters and a student-driven workforce.
They are looking for a Head of Engineering who will command engineering disciplines including, but not limited to, application development, data management, analytics, machine learning, and quality assurance, to build a great product for customers and employees alongside the CTO.

Requirements
-4+ years of solid Software Development experience
-Deep experience in building, managing, and motivating a strong distributed teams of software architects, engineers, and QA/test teams
-Deep experience with Python (Django), JavaScript (React + Redux), SQL and moreExpertise managing cloud computing platforms (AWS Preferred)

As the Head of Engineering, you will be building and maintaining a robust infrastructure to support accelerated growth in application usage.
You will also build a world-class engineering team by recruiting A players who will drive innovation.
You will:
Develop Platform vision, strategies and roadmaps to meet Duffl’s business objectives with existing or emerging technologies in your area by partnering with the CEO, CTO, and product team.
Work with the CTO to build, grow, and drive innovation through the introduction of new software and exceptional development.
Shape a high performing engineering team with critical skills and experience.
Continue to expand our existing onshore team while exploring the potential for offshore talentWork with other development leaders and teams to create comprehensive solutions shared across multiple product areas.
Integrate the engineering team across physical locations enabling greater collaboration and creating a sense of belonging.
Communicate complex topics to a variety of stakeholders with differing levels of technology expertise.
Forecast future needs to acquire and develop an IT workforce with the appropriate mix of business knowledge, technical skills and competencies to support production operations.
Compensation
- $170,000
– $225,000 - Equity will be discussed upon offer
