Collateral Mgmt, Analyst I

Overview
The Collateral Management Analyst I is responsible for the review of the collateral files (i.e.

note, mortgage, related riders and addendums, assignments, title insurance policy, etc.) for loans purchased by PennyMac, to ensure the enforceability of the loans and accuracy of the Note data.

Job Description

  • Responsible for the collateral review process of newly boarded purchased loans
  • Assists in the clearing or curing of collateral issues
  • Assists in the release of collateral
  • Coordinates the delivery of collateral documents to investors
  • Coordinates the delivery of collateral documents to custodians
  • Responsible for placing collateral document orders with vendors
  • Creates collateral documents (i.e.

    Allonges, Endorsements, etc.)

  • Actively participates in the maintenance of departmental policies and procedures
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrates behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of mortgage or finance industry experience, preferably in loan servicing and in a high paced, customer service oriented operation
  • Familiarity with the collateral documents files (i.e.

    note, mortgage, related riders and addendums, assignments, title insurance policy, etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions within set policies/procedures
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be trained and train on various Collateral Management related tasks
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as an individual contributor
  • Ability to work independently with moderate/minimum supervision
