Statistical Analyst – Data Advancement (Remote)

A dynamic and diverse role requiring analytical and business skills applied across a variety of data types.

Responsible for data analysis, reporting, and technology implementations using industry leading principles, methodologies, and programs.

These analytic activities are typically product or solution based designed to serve many clients or a single client who requires a custom development to solve a specific business problem.

The Analyst is a thought leader who is innovative, logical, and able to participate and contribute to all facets of the data life cycle either independently or as part of a team.

This role can be located almost anywhere in the U.S.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
– Perform data mining to include crosstabs, frequencies, correlations and data summarizations.

– Use predictive modeling and machine learning to improve and optimize client usage, adoption and benefit of data.

– Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and support development of analytic solutions based on company data products.

– Utilize statistical techniques to perform predictions, analyze patterns, and uncover hidden stories told through data.

– Prepare analysis datasets by appending data, deduping, loading data to analysis application, and merging with other datasets.

– Research and implement new analytic techniques or methodologies as needed for specific projects.

– Leverage a variety of statistical analysis tools (SAS, R, Python) to facilitate analytic discovery.

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:
– Experience with automating tools and processes
– Knowledge of predictive models, segmentation, and data mining techniques
– Knowledge of advanced predictive analytics (GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting Trees)
– Experience with a variety of programming languages (SAS, R, Python)
– Ability to effectively communicate results and findings
– Intellectual and business curiosity
– Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics) or related degree programs and 3-5 years of relevant work experience.

– Knowledge of various statistical software programming languages (SAS, R, Python).

– Experience with data mining and statistical/machine learning techniques.

– Ability to interpret business problems and identify optimal solutions.

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART:
– Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics) or related degree programs and 1-3 years of relevant work experience
– Knowledge of data visualization tools (Looker, Microsoft BI, Tableau)
– Experience with automating processes using a variety of tools and platforms
– Experience working with global data
– Experience working with agencies TRAVEL: 10-20% PRIMARY LOCATION CITY/STATE: Homebased
